Just in case it's flown under anyone's radar and they're interested in such things.

Valve has released a beta version of their Steam Link app for Android lollipop and above, iOS at a later date.

I've read people are having limited success with controllers other than the Steam one so far, I'll be giving my Mad Catz CTRLR a try with it tonight.

I've heard various issues with controllers. It would be interesting to know what people have tried that is/isn't working.

I've tried:

Mad Catz CTRLR: calibration is stuffed, button and stick bindings are all wrong (90°rotated).

Nintendo Joy Con: very very laggy (Android known issue). Button and stick bindings also off by 90°. At this point I'm wondering if my OnePlus 5 just doesn't support controllers correctly.

Touch Screen: works great for games that are left click only friendly. Right click gesture always moves or zooms the screen, couldn't get it to work on my OnePlus 5 or TF300T.

Next to try is my wired Xbox 360 controller. As I don't have a USB OTG adaptor this will be on my Asus TF300T when I get the chance.

Xiaomi mi controller - around 2/3 of the buttons were correctly mapped, once I had done the controller calibration it fixed the remaining mapping.

I have only tried it on Serious Sam BFE for a few minutes, and appeared to work well.

My phone is a Oneplus 3T.
