Batman:

these are pretty small kids, with small hands :( so maybe have to get the ps4?

got another question. i got minecraft windows 10 version, and minecraft java (PC) version. i don't suppose the xbox or the ps4 minecraft can "multiplayer" with either of these versions on my PC?

Last I heard Minecraft supports cross platform play, but Sony doesn’t support it. So Windows, Xbox, Nintendo Switch can play together - but not PS4.

PS4 also not great for 3rd party universal remote support if that is something you were wanting. I have it mainly working using a combination of my Harmony Ultimate and HDMI-CEC (but it’s a bit clunky). Xbox One just works.

Also, if you have multiple consoles (I have my old Xbox One S and standard PS4 in the bedroom, and the newer PS4 Pro and Xbox One X in living room), Xbox seamlessly synchronises save games through your Xbox Live account. With PS4 this is a manual process to upload to the cloud and sync (unless I am doing something wrong?). Obviously this only impacts a small number of users, but it does make the Xbox hugely more convenient for my usage case compared to PS4.

Their is no Lightbox app for Xbox (which really annoys me), but there is one for PS4. Both have apps for TVNZ On Demand, but neither have apps for 3Now.

For pure gaming performance (someone correct me if I’m wrong), I believe it ranks: Xbox One S < PS4 Slim < PS4 Pro < Xbox One X.

well guess what i discovered -
ps4 minecraft remains a console 1080p game

whereas xbox version gets (has gotten?) a “superduper” 4K graphics update ... that pretty much seals it! i wonder if the xbox version is also a non console version which means there may be multiplayer options with PC versions...

Yeah the Xbox one works with any recent version, barring the Java version.

Basically if you can sign into Xbox Live in the Minecraft version, you can play it cross platform.

Just to let you guys know that the Xbox one X is amazing.

But very very slow to do anything and laggy after button presses compared to my PC lol.
