Looking for recommendations for a good controller for PC, wireless or cabled, did have an Xbox 360 Wireless controller, although seemed to be continually changing the batteries!

PS4 is nice, but some games dont play well with it (Mass Effect Andromeda being one).  Xbox One is nice and basically the standard all windows games are made for these days.

If you get your games though steam, the PS4 should work perfectly, only external games could have an issue or require a 3rd party driver.

Get a wired Xbox one controller?
PS4 controllers work well too. But in game some games will label it as Xbox controller buttons. I'd just stick with the Xbone controller. You need to get the updated later version if you want Bluetooth to work as well.

Cheers

Ive got Xbox One (use with Windows wireless dongle) and a generic cheapie controller (PS3 style) Both work well, the cheap one usually requires some buttons swapped around but otherwise all good.

The Logitech range seem OK going by reviews.

Using both xbox 360 and Xbox one controllers, find the 3.5mm headphone/ mic jack on the Xbox one controllers very handy.

PowerA xbox (wired) controller with 2x on the fly assignable 4th finger button. $47 in EB Games. Plug and Play with Windows (?10).

Swype on iOS is detrimental to accurate typing. Apologies in advance.
