I currently live on a farm just outside Hamilton with only a 120 GB/month Vodafone Wireless Broadband internet. The other potential provider is Lightwire, we had them checked the place once and said it's not possible to get their service. Now I have quite an extensive steam library that I have amassed over the years before moving to NZ but with 120 GB a month there isn't many games that I can download as obviously game files nowadays are huge. So I am just wondering if there are anyone in the area that might be willing to share their steam backups so I can have them installed/copied to my PC ? I could copy the files to my external hard drive.

Game files / backups I am currently looking for :

  • Assassins Creed Unity
  • Dirt Rally
  • Fallout 4
  • Far Cry 4
  • For Honor
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Just Cause 3
  • The Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim Special Edition
  • Total War : Shogun 2
  • Wolfenstein : the New order

Or if anyone might have a different idea as a workaround I am definitely open to that too !

Heya Kebhow.

I help run the GetSome gaming community (www.getsome.co.nz) and we've got a few regulars/admins in Hamilton who I'm sure would be more than happy to help you out. Feel free to jump on our Discord and I'm sure someone can hook you up.

You could install Steam on a second laptop, set to install library to the external drive,  and go visit a friend in town to download them all as another option.
