During these Covid-19 times, a few of us wants to have a game of poker (and a beer or two). Using Zoom for the VC part.
Which poker platform allows for friends to play for free?
We’re all on Windows.

Pokerstars is free and offers private club rooms. Ive set one up for my workmates and I instead of having staff drinks ;)

It worked well.
Poker Stars and a Zoom conference call with 3 friends.
Four hours in total.
Think I had too much wine though 🙃

Got one set up through Pokerstars and using Facebook Messenger video chat (although sometimes I just turn that bit off)

Not quite the same and with play money it's very easy to do really dumb things and play far too many hands I should fold. Plus with dual screens at home I'm often doing other stuff so get distracted easily.

Well that's my excuse for losing anyway ;-)

We've tried 2 so far during lockdown:

Pokerstars (Which I personally cant stand.. UI/UX is just atrocious)

Prominence Poker (Which is much more 'gamey')

I prefer the latter but those in the group who don't have gaming PC's have struggled with performance issues so we're using PokerStars at the moment.
