For those playing, is it better to go PC or Xbox for it? My pc is easily capable of playing, however im leaning to the Xbox as I often can’t be faffed booting up the pc. Looking for something as a break from Diablo on the ps5. Cheers

Doesn't really matter since the save game exists between both PC and Xbox, so you can play on both if you want.

PC for mods.
Update 1.7.33 has been released today. Not a huge update in terms of content (or size 2.6GB) but addresses glitches like some NPCs not being where they should be. I experienced one of these - David Barron was not where he should have been in Sabotage which prevented me finishing the Ryujin Industries missions. I have just downloaded it but have yet to see whether he’s back in place.

100% PC for the MODs way improves the gameplay to how you want it to be and remove the annoying aspects

I’m at 100+ hours and L36. Really enjoying the game - sometimes it’s a bit slow but then something happens to renew my interest. Probably sounds like slow progress but, for example, I recently spent many hours searching the Groombridge System for (on separate quests but done jointly) a ‘turbulent lithosphere’ and an ‘aeroform life’. Eventually successful and it was satisfying but I’m sure that may not appeal to a lot of players.
I think it’s a very good game but not necessarily a brilliant one. Nevertheless I’ll be in for long time to come - I haven’t really yet got properly into crafting, research, outposts, ship mods etc. I’ve been doing a lot of side missions and concentrating on cleaning up faction quest lines otherwise the quest list can get unruly and long.
I just saw this story - made me laugh.

Handle9: I’m about 30 hours in and starting to lose interest.
I’m not usually the biggest fan of open world games and this one is kind of following the same direction. It’s all just a bit repetitive and not interesting enough. I’ve done the Free Star collective plot line which was ok but the main story isn’t really grabbing me.
I think I’ll play a bit more over the weekend and if I can’t get re engaged I might move on.

I finished the game in the end. The UC faction questline was really good and the Crimson fleet was good too. I’m glad I finished it but I’m also glad it was on Gamepass rather than I bought it.
Just noticed that a new update 1.7.36 has been released overnight. There do not appear to be any major changes apart from introduction of a Field of View setting.

I should probably add I crafted nothing. I researched nothing. I had no outposts.
I hate homework when I play video games. I just don’t see the point.
RDR2 was like this. A bunch of chores like feeding animals which was walking from one side of your camp to the other with a container, filling it, and walking to the animals. It totally killed the game for me. I have enough tedious chores in real life, I honestly can't for the life of me understand why anyone thought it was a good idea. A chore simulator, brilliant. /s
I downloaded this the other night and started it. Spent a stupid amount of time designing what my character would look like, and then got thoroughly confused with what "background" and "traits" I should choose.
As a VERY casual gamer, I found it frustrating to have to make choices that apparently have an impact throughout the entire game before I even know what the game is all about.
I Googled what I should choose, and there's no real consensus. Some of them come down to whether you like playing with NPC companions or not... how should I know, I haven't played it yet?!
