I guess I'd post How to win a motorcar race to start off discussions on realest game ever. If you disagree, that's fine, but this guy won a real race just by training on the PS3 game! However don't try any tricks on public roads in your fake-WOFed honda civic okay ...

also this thread will probably be locked till March 2010 ... :(

(having said that he probably has a $100,000 simulator attached to his PS3 and not just a joystick like i have)

publicity bullshiza? or do you think it really happened like that?

I remember a top gear episode where Jeremy clarkson played one GT4 games and raced around Laguna Seca. then, getting into a real car that was supposed to be identical to the car in the game he tried to replicate his time on the real laguna seca track. He failed by absolutely miles.

hey this guy is obsessed - i bet he had a pretty cool simulator. it wasnt about timed laps, it was familiarising with the car and track - like what EVERY F1 driver does before a weekend grand prix ... watchout yas marina in abu dhabi - no FI driver's been there yet but they'll all know their car and track by heart because of their simulators ...

also i doubt JC himself did the timed lap on the ps2 - i bet it's someone else's lap which he tried to beat. also did you think the ps2 lap was an arcade lap with TC and DSC etc ... as i tried that on MY ps2 and couldnt do it without TC DSC (i got 90% of all the gold licence medals so ... i cant be that bad :(

plus i really doubt they needed to do a publicity stunt on the gt5 ... but you could be right! who knows! ask a real race car driver to tell us if the game's life like...
