freitasm: So whtat the mouse smoothing does? [lazy guy asking before running to test it]

I'm really not sure what it's _supposed_ to do, but it just makes everything feel a bit sluggish in my experience.  Maybe it's to help if you have a really crappy mouse, but if you turn it off everything feels so much more precise.

I have a Logitech G9 which I run at about 3000dpi and with mouse acceleration turned off.  With mouse smoothing off, aim assist off and the sensitivity setting right down to the lowest it feels just like any other PC FPS.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 ,
I think that's the right thing.. :)

According to the Steam store page for Borderlands, these are the requirements:

  • OS: Windows XP/Vista

  • Processor: 2.4 Ghz or equivalent processor

  • Memory: 1GB System RAM (2GB recommended with Vista)

  • Graphics: 256mb video ram or better (GeForce 8 series or higher/Radeon R8xx series)

  • Hard Drive: 8 GB or more free space

  • Sound: Windows compatible sound card

I think it should run ok for you.

Radeon HD 3650 is R600 chipset, if the minimum requirements are R800 is might be problematic.

Interesting... Played a game with two other friends today and none of the campaigns we completed updated in my log. They both have their logs correctly updated.

Also my char was level 23 when we finished, but it was back to level 22 when I opened it again.

Strange...

Damn

Well that's got to be a mistake, I mean using this as a guide, R800 isn't even an official designation, and my card would be considered an R700 and it runs awesomely at 1920x1080 with max settings.

The equivilent of the GeForce 8 series would be the Radeon HD3xxx series so really do think you will be fine.  You won't be able to run it at maximum settings though.

Yeah the minimum is X850 model not R800 chipset, the X850 model is R450. You should probably be fine.

I am running;

AMD X2 Athlon 6000+ (3.0GHz)
4.0GB RAM
Nvidia 7600GT 256MB (1680x1050)
Vista x64 Business

With V-sync on, and mouse smoothing off. I am yet to play with any other settings.

And apart from the occasional stutter, it works really well.

Borderlands World Map is quite cool
http://zfire.free.fr/BL/

There's now a Borderlands Config Editor which makes tweaking the config a lot easier, made by some gamers
http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=85874

Requires .NET framework 3.5 SP1 to be installed.
