Why is Modern Warfare 2 so expensive?
Regular edition of the game is $140 in all retailers, I haven't seen any new release priced
over $120

I've checked out:

DSE, Noelleeming, Bond and Bond.

Anyone know any places where it is cheaper?

I heard it might be cheaper in JB-hi fi but it's not listed on their site, if anyone
could tell me their pricing or another place that sells it cheaper, that'll be awesome.

Thanks.

Pre-Orders before November were $120~$130. Game is sold out. New orders are going to cost more. This game is HUGE.

PS - www.firstgames.co.nz

$100 inc shipping for Xbox 360/PC/PS3 title.

Do whatever you want to do man.

It's so expensive because Activision knows they can milk you all for that much. Don't like it? Don't buy it.

c71931f: anyone know if this game format will work on nz ps3's ?
I'm keen on getting this if it does :)

http://www.cdwow.co.nz/games/CALL-OF-DUTY-MODERN-WARFARE-2-PRESTIGE-ED/dp/4673137#bc=eb59

PS3 games are region free :)

I've got my order from cdwow, only thing is from today/tomorrow when it gets sent out, it'll take about 4-5 days :(

That's ok though, i also got the camo headset

Don't know why peopel are complaining about the price

$140 from the usual ripoff retailers that sell things for $129 for any new released game?
Not much of a markup, just go to the proper places, firstgames, jb, playtech etc and you can find way better deals on all new releases

Hong Kong eh

usually takes around 4 days, but they quote 6-10.  so pretty much faster than:
PBT and Kiwicouriers usually are....to my place that is, slackers.

They've been around longer than almost all other online stores(2002), they are on a par with play-asia if you've ever used them.

I'll post an update when it arrives and if the headset/game arrive in separate packages

CDWow seem alright. I bought a couple of albums from there a couple of weeks ago, and turned up no problems. I wouldn't have any doubts buying a game off there.

A lot of the places in China that sell pirated software mocked up as the real thing are small time businesses an eBay'ers

www.firstgames.co.nz are a kiwi company though arent they?

yeah firstgames are, they buy their games from HK and Japan directly, then sell out of their outfit.

Only problem with firstgames is no Credit card.  I always use my credit card for online purchases, ever since C1com went bust.  having the extra insurance on it if a company fails is good enough reason in my books to use it
