I have COD-MW2. I am liking Bad Company2 instead from youtube videos. EA has the brains to provide dedicated servers for PC, XBOX360 and PS3.

and it looks better. bigger maps + more online player/map

Do whatever you want to do man.

xpd: Dedicated server... call it a "hosted server"...

I'd expect this isn't as bad as it sounds, it'll more likely be quite similar to how they ran things with BF2. Back then only 'trusted' providers could host servers that'd feed into the global stats/rank system while everyone else could still run regular servers. There wasn't any cost to the trusted provders in this case and the system was run fairly well by EA. For BF2 there were 3 providers from memory - Xtra, Orcon and gamers.net.nz - so there was no shortage of servers.

The Multiplayer stuff looks good however it's just not as polished as CODMW2 in my opinion.

so far, yes the model is looking the same as past versions

but details regarding the local supply of ranked partners is waiting on EA international to finalise and communicate to local EA.

so expect clan servers to run unranked and a range of ranked servers for public use.

a2k clan, comparison
