watch the pc online gameplay movies on youtube.
it looks really bad, barely any classes of soldiers. the one i watched, a sniper was killing everyone.
looks like another game dominated with snipers

cgrew :D
if its not good, i give up on the future of first person shooters. i will board up my house and cut my wrist each day. until counter strike source 2 comes out :D

but on a serious note...it appears all the first person shooters have hit a wall. and nothing "NEW" is being made. just all copying of each other.

so hopefully black ops is a step in the "NEW" and "OMFG MY LIFE IS COMPLETE" direction of gaming :D

cgrew i look forward to playing online with u when its out. geekzone clan ftw

Most likely Call of Duty: Black Ops will always have the CoD formula that has made the series a true success. So I doubt there will be heaps different with the game as a first person shooter.

My bet is there will be new perks available for multiplayer and a new outrageous blockbuster single player campaign. Oh and moat importantly, new Nazi Zombiiiies!!!

Which all 'n' all will make this game even more 'kick-ass' :)

And yes keen to play this one online - co-op Nazi Zombies will be awesome dude.

I got this on PC, I found the single player game very brief and made the mistake of playing on Normal difficulty, it makes the game way too easy. The only piece I found challenging with a sense of achievement was the level where you ended up waiting for the chopper rescue. I'll probably start on the Tier1 mode next and will get into multiplayer shortly. So can't give a final verdict but it's not a bad game so far though, but could have been better for sure.

FYI guys..

Have a read through this article, tells the history of the Call of Duty franchise and how it ties in with the original Medal of Honor series - great read!

Not sure how many of you play this on PC but I have put up 5 NZ servers - one of each game mode to try.

Just need to search in the server browser "ON3"

b0untypure1: wow the new MOH fails...
got it today on xbox, first thing, no recoil.
shot the wall, no bullet holes.
threw a grenade, embarrassing explosion.
knifed a guy from miles away.
no sprint.

my hype went from 1,000,000 to 0 in the first 10 minutes (very cinematic)

Yeah, consoles are for casual gamers. And multi-platform games are nearly always ports of casual games. They like to simplify things to make it easier for people and thus expand their potential customer base. So they do things like remove the recoil. They make hitboxes bigger. They have auto-aim assist like features. You can tell from the game design of a lot of games now too. And most people are casual gamers.

Yeah but Medal of Honor went down hill ever since the original guys from EA left and went on to create the Call of Duty franchise.

Call of Duty doesn't suffer from any of this..

Yea it seems like a console port... But they spent long enough on it, to make it a good port. If such thing exists lol

i think a 7.5 was a bit generous by gamespot in this case
a 5 would be more precise :D
