Hi all

I got an Xbox 360 250Gb for my 13yo daughter. At this link http://www.xbox.com/en-NZ/live/   I can join to a free Xbox Live membership. Its only for new members which is cool, but is it a free 12 month subscription?  Does it need any Xbox info as its boxed up? She has her own email address, so will it allow her to get the free subscription herself upon opening the box and setting it up?

Cheers

jeez, all I got for my child was a ps2... then they gave her back! ;P

I asked a mate and he said "worked for me"

He tries to make me buy a 360 for this reason.

(No first-hand knowledge, just know it is his selling point so he can kick my ar*e)

The free subscription is called the Silver subscription. To play online against other humans you will need to buy the gold subscription. You can buy it directly from Xbox's website or cheapest I have seen in store is from Noel Leeming @ $70 for 12 months. 3 Months is $40 I think.

Do whatever you want to do man.
