Hi, I've have tried making a Minecraft server that I can play with my friend on. I have gone through all of the setup of making a server and only I have been able to play on the server. When my friend tried to join, it said that he could not join. I went through all the steps of port forwarding but I think I did something wrong. When I went to to go through all the settings, I found my correct router and game yet the pictures showing the steps were not exactly the same. For example, when I typed in the start and end ports as 25565 (since it's the dedicated minecraft server) for port range, an error message came up and said ports could not be the same. Even though I was just typing in what the website said for me to do. If someone could please help me I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

Find out the internal IP address of the machine that the minecraft server is on.
Set up a port forwarding rule that has ONLY the external port and internal IP address.
Leave out the internal port number, as I think by default it should just use the external port number.

external port: 3698
internal IP address:
internal port: [BLANK]

The port forwarding area may also have an area called External IP or Src Address. Just leave that blank too.

Hope that helps.
