JimmyC: Invites for the last beta weekend were only sent to people who ordered before 11.11.11.

You get early access for pre-ordering anytime I believe, but depending on when you pre-ordered, you'll get up to 5 days early access.

Invites for beta testing go to anyone who signed up for testing before 11/11. If you didn't you were able to get an invite from many of the fansites.

Also you can go to http://www.swtor.com/tester and confirm for the test if you somehow missed out on an email invite.

Hmm... I hope something weird is going on with TOR logins at present. I can't start the download 'cos it's asking me the answer to a Security Question I didn't fill out.

The customer service line isn't accepting any calls at present either so I'm kinda stuck...

O.o Brad I suddenly looked at the name of the person posted. How do we ensure we end up on the same realm/server/however it's done?

Well, TOR organised the Guild's last month I think.
Basically, you could create a guild, and if it had more than 4 people signed up for it, they would TRY and appropriate all the players onto the same server.
Then there were partner guilds, allies, and rivals.
BioWare also tried to pair as many of these collections together as possible onto the same servers.

Yay, my games downloaded (thanks work).

Security questions, they had so many, but they are all configurable via the swtor.com website.
Log in, and run through the security questions again, under your account maintenance.  Then go back to the installer (now that you have your security questions fresh in your head).  It will randomly pick one of the 6 or 8 they ask you.

Hope this helps.

Well I don't like to plug our guild here but... http://valorousascent.enjin.com. Social guild of Kiwis and Aussies. Mostly ex WoW players, will be running a raid group as well.

If you join up with the guild here: http://www.swtor.com/guilds/11747/valorous you'll be on the same server :-D

You have to create the questions before it will let you download. They are pushing account security hard.

I got invited but don't really feel like paying Xnet $25.60 to download a 20GB beta client :/

So it keeps a copy of the install files when the download is complete?

Guess what it asks you to gain access to your security questions? A security question! The answer to which I don't know so yeah... currently in their queue for customer service. Thank god for Skype.

Edit: was in the queue for 25 mins before they told me their systems were down so they had no access to account or security question details. Asked me to call back in 5 hours...

At least the call only cost me 70US cents.

Yep, download appears to download files directly into play folder. I am in Chch and have finished my download, so if anyone has beta and no cap, I can copy the core files across if anyone needs.

The play button will become active tonight at some stage (or early tomorrow).

I'd be interested in that offer mate. I live in Ilam and only have 24GB left on the cap and it's shared between two people :(

Any chance you live or work nearby?

i am assuming its like WoW. doesnt need to be installed as such, just the game folder. then any missing registery stuff gets updated when launched.
I could be wrong tho. id guess it doesnt keep the install files as that would take another 18odd gig of storage.
