Is this game still buggy. Ive read servers are lag feasts, restarts, CTD etc., Should I wait? Was thinking of getting Crisis 2 to play round with until BF3 is fixed.

I would get it now. Yes there are lagg issues, server crashes and CTD's (although I have not had any that were not the server going down of late) but for all that it is great 80% of the time.

yeah I would get it now if you are going to play multiplayer. Most people are still figuring out the game / maps but if you wait too long you'll find that you'll get pwnd lots when you start and it will suck...happened to me in BF:BC2.

Like the others have said... just get it now.     I have had the random ctd, freezes etc...  nothing major.

Anyone tried the co-op yet?

co-op is fail atm as the voip does not work and there is no ingame chat... Had to use vent to play as you need to be attacking the same areas or you get pwned by bot doing 1 shot kills.

Multiplayer is good once you have a few unlocks. Easy way to get points is on a rush map with no other people or just one other.

With no others just attack & you get all the points. With one other just both stand there arming & disarming.. can get an easy 20k points in one game doing that :D

TabutiNZ is my soldier name if you would like to add me. Good on Telstra for all the servers ON3Network is where i'm playing.

Co-op is pretty good. Run it on easy to unlock all of the levels & then you can select a harder setting on any of the scenarios.

There is one with the chopper that sucks if a: you can't fly or b: your partner can't fly

Say hi if you see me in there!

I also thank the ON3 Network/admins/telstra for their support of NZ servers.

If you want to level up fast, Conquest is the way to go. Just don't play on the Operation Metro map as that has no vehicles, and without those then you won't have much fun :P

If you neutralise a flag you get 100 points and if you capture it you will get another additional 100 points. If you disable a vehicle you get an easy 100 points.

Further note, don't drive on the main road or else you may come across a planted anti tank mine which won't give you a chance to exit the vehicle before you explode. My fault really for putting them there in the first place :P

Going on an empty server on Rush is just pointless really, arming and disarming for easy points, is just not as fun. If I find you on there I'll probably start a killing spree :P

Single player is okish, infact I find it not as good as battlefield bad company 2.
Yet to play co-op.

Add me.

Haha, that it is Kaos. Got me a GTX 460 to replace the 9800 GT & new PSU for BF3 so I can get off low settings!

Added you Campoki

I did the rush trick with a friend, even doing it solo nets you about 5k as an attacker.

See you out there!

Ah we should get a GZ squad going eh.

My player name is urbanguer1lla

@Tabuti, I'm running a gtx460 too,  seems okay on high in 1920x1080.  Only real gfx lag that i have experienced is at the start of Operation Metro when the card dips just under 30fps.

Gonna wait till the next gen cards come out before pouncing on a Sapphire 6950 Toxic 2GB :)

Add me.. funnily enough im Garvani.. im keen on a geekzone squad :D.

Warning: Im getting horrid performance at the moment, it is really really bad. Crossfire is broken with BF3, im waiting for a fix from dice/amd as at the moment I get about 30fps most of the time, on high settings @ 1080p (should be able to do ultra).
Bad company 2 on highest settings i get over 100fps, crysis 2, dirt3 etc etc all run flawlessly (I can see that my gpu's in bf3 are only at about 30-40% utilisation while in other games its over 90%, hence why the atrocious performance.
Specs.. i5 2500k @ 4.6ghz, 8gb ddr3 1600mhz, 60gb ocz agility3 ssd (bf3 installed on it), 2x Sapphire 6870's...

Also keen for GZ squad/platoon.

Just suggesting maybe an update on your drivers. I assume you've already done it but I'll put the link up anyways for AMD and NVIDIA
