Hi guys

Right I'm living with my parents. We have telstraclear, but our Internet cuts out so many times, which can be solved with restarting our modem and router
I'm moving out in 3months anyway so I though I could just buy a new router
Install it at home until I leave
What is a good router with included Adsl modem ( about $100) which will work with our telstraclear and will work with my new Internet provider ( probably fyx naked Internet)

Seems pretty solid.

Sounds like you have a good plan - it will let you know if the old/current router is the issue or not..

Your internet cutting in/out problem are more likely to be with the house wiring than the ISP or modem/router. (In case you're interested in solving that problem.)

You are probably correct - but I had a D-Link router that caused that sort of symptom. Unfortunately some hardware seems able to die slowly and painfully rather than just stop. If the poster drops a new router in and gets the same sort of problems then it would definitely point to wiring.

thanks for your answers.
Because i will move out soon anyway, i would have to buy a new router for myself. So might as well buy it now and try it. The thing is that we never used to have that problem, thats why i thought it would be the modem or router.
If the problem isnt solved with a new router, i probably have to ring telstraclear and ask them to check my connection or sth.
