As per a previous post, I've purchased a USB WiFi dongle and now moved the desk top into the living area.  The dongel sees the WiFi modem/router with a strong signal, and I click connect and enter the key and it says its connected, but have no internet on the PC.

The machine is Win 8 and the dongle has plug and play instructions for Win 8 which I've followed.

Initially that machine was connected via Ethernet, and used to set the modem/router up.  My laptop and smart phone are still connecting to the internet via the WiFi, so I assume it's something to do with the network set up in the desktop.

I can't find instructions for the modem/router so assume they were online or that I have a CD somewhere!

Modem is TP Link TD-C896ON, and the dongle TP-Link TL-WN822N

Any help much appreciated!
