I recently got Telecom VDSL and their supplied modem, which is unable to do normal DMZ'ing.

I have forwarded port 21 and the port range (about 3rd time) for passive ftp 64100 - 64200 forwarded aswell. But ftp will still not connect.

I've done this before DMZ'ing my home server when I was first starting to explore and it worked. Surely I'm missing something?

You can enable a DMZ device for the TG589vn, but it does it by allocating the public IP to the DMZ target, if that's any help to you. Other than that, I just tested forwarding port 21 on mine and it works fine. How are you doing it - any chance of screenshot of the config?

Not quite, cause I do port forward to a couple of other devices.

There is no reason to use FTP in 2013.
