I am having trouble forwarding this port

It looks to be setup properly, but just cannot seem to access it.

Im trying to set up the iParadox app to access my alarm system from outside my home network.

Is the box really 10.0.0.20? Perhaps to make sure you could configure the DHCP server to always give this IP to the box specific MAC address to be sure.

Also is TCP or UDP you need?

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

The box is definitely 10.0.0.20 with no DHCP set

I can log in locally using that.

I have also used TCP/UDP and UDP only settings.

Will try the specific MAC/IP option

Port 10000 could be reserved for something in the router. Have you tried a different port to see if that works?

Changing the port doesn't seem to make any difference.

I might have to pick the techs' brains on Monday.

The Innbox might be using 10000-20000 for VoIP RTP traffic. Try something higher up like 65000 and see how you go and also use TCP/UDP just in case it uses UDP traffic too.

Also, there is no point hiding what DNS server the box is using...

Cheers. Will give that a try.

I wasn't sure about DNS server so just blanked it anyway.
