I can see that icon on my PC, but not the tablet.

Also you have to make sure you are using the latest versions of the apps - YouTube, etc... YouTube on my HTC One is 5.3.24. If you have something old it won't know how to "cast".

Not quite,

I have an antique version of the youtube app on my POS 2degrees smart touch silver because it has no space to update, and it is quite capable of sending to the chromecast. It doesnt seem to have as many issues as the new one on my note 3 does with restarting videos from the beginning when unlocking the phone and opening the youtube app again either.
