Perhaps Steve could write a sticky about this?

There are a huge number of threads about this and everyone has a different opinion - try a search on the forum because there is one version of the asus that won't work with fibre and one that will.

Yea i had read about the Asus DSL-N66u not working which is a shame as it was the one i was looking at getting, i have tried a few searches but dont particularly want to search for every type of Netgear and Asus modem to see what would work and what wont.
A sticky would be nice because i dont know a hell of alot about modems/routers because i see that some adsl routers will work through the ONT but im not sure how to tell, neither do i know much about vlan tagging etc.

What i do know is that after using the Slingshot supplied VDSL router is i had endless problems with port forwarding and constant disconnects so im reluctant to use provider supplied routers, as i do alot of game server hosting and port forwarding i want something that can handle multiple forwarded ports.
