Currently sick of poor performance from spark thompson modem, have many wifi devices and it just doesn't cope.
Is the NF4V still as highly recommended as in the last? (Current price is about the max I would like to spend if possible)
Currently ADSL, hoping for VDSL in the future.

Thanks,
Joseph

As you haven't listed VoIP as a requirement the NF8AC is a vastly superior option.

Excellent; thanks for that. Yes VOIP is not on the list for me
The NF8AC looks good, the dual band wifi stuff seems to be the main difference?

Ok I bought the NF8AC. It's up and running and all seems great so far.
Not 100% sure about the UPnP, it doesn't seem to be working for my Screens Connect, will have to investigate further.
Streaming music currently and no drop outs or anything so far. Fingers crossed!
Oh and I got a static IP from Spark today too; thought it might help with Screens but no.

Cheers,
Joseph

I don't have one but have deployed a number of them and haven't seen or heard of any issues.

I am rolling with an NF8AC and it's all good....no issues here; easy to setup/configure. Well happy...now just need to move to VDSL :)

Does the NF8AC support 5 GHz over 802.11n? Or just 5 GHz over ac?

It's 802.11ac - hence the AC in the name.

Thanks all. I asked as a lot of AC routers also support n over 5 GHz, so it seemed like an odd omission that I wanted to confirm with real world users. Cheers.
