Hi,

I would like some help with a 502t gen2  problem.

I recently flashed openwrt onto a 502t gen2 modem with the mtd settings of a 502t non gen2. It appears that this has wiped mtd3 which is the configuration file and bricked the router. I have  made  a jtag  cable and can successfully  reflash  the  processor  but require the  correct mtd  settings  (I should have backed this info up but was too lazy).

If anyone is interested in helping the procedure for obtaining this data is:

Log in to modem with telnet i.e. telnet <i.p. address>
enter USER (default admin)
enter PASSWORD (default admin)

once in busybox run

cat /proc/ticfg/env

Save output and post to forum.

Thanks in advance for anyone willing to help.

just out of curiosity, does openwrt have a working ti adsl driver? does it do PPP half bridge? I might have to try this ! :-)

Hi, thanks for the reply, it will be helpful. In regards to your queries, yes there is support for Texas Instruments ADSL, it is part of the AR7 family.
I am currently running another 502t as my modem/router using openwrt with Annex A, I am with ihug and ppp authenticates with pap, I haven't tried ppp half-bridge as the router will now do everything I need(dns, dhcp and port forwarding) so don't know if it is even possible although it is fairly trivial to set up DMZ with iptables(there is an example in /etc/firewall.user).
