A few months ago I was lucky enough to get given an orcon lite router! And boy it's good!

I really want it to connect to my own sip server but I notice that the sip settings are unchangeable.

Has anyone found a way to change these settings? I would love to be able to experiment with them myself!

They're an increibly average device that was dumped by Orcon a few years ago. I don't believe there is any way to reconfigure these, short of using your own TR069 server.

Your best bet if you want to play is to pick up something that's better 2nd hand, lots of good routers with VoIP often go for $20 on Trademe.

Those routers were only ever loaned by Orcon. So in theory you should not have it. Someone probably got hit with a big "fail to return equipment" fee from Orcon. They were also used by IInet in Aussie. So if you are lucky you might be able to find an IInet firmware that would allow you to configure the SIP settings. Only other way would be seeing if you could Telnet or SSH into it.

I had one when I was with Orcon. Wifi wasn't that great but everything else was fine. Parents had one as well which got full speed over Wifi on 30/10 UFB.

I agree with Sbiddle.
