@Earbanean Tested with another router? I've got that configuration operating on multiple Voyager connections.

The beauty of owning a proper router like an EdgeRouter is that you can do anything Linux can do. So in this case, if you want to you can use tcpdump to capture the PPP packets on the PPPoE interface and see what is actually happening. I did that to work out why I was having problems with my IPv6. But you do really need to understand networking for this to be useful.
Since you have been assigned a static IP address, it would be worth simply applying that IP address to the pppoe0 interface and see if that helped. Have they told you what your static IP address is?
It looks like the config to do that on my ER4 would be:
set interfaces ethernet eth0 vif 10 pppoe 0 local-address <static IPv4 address>
Earbanean:
I haven't yet. Do you have to anything in particular for Static IP address?
Nope - it assigns automatically so either you've got a problem with your configuration else Voyager have a problem with your connection. It is hard to diagnose this without testing on another router which is why I personally always ensure I've got a pre-configured router with a known good configuration available. Voyager are PPPoE over VLAN 10.
Also ensure that the user / pass is correct. You get given this in an email.
Regarding the comment above from @fe31nz - please don't assign a static IP to your interface as this can cause problems for the provider. You should always just request this from the ISP with your routers configuration.

I have ID, PWD and static IP from Voyager. I've followed the 2Lan2 wizard, selected PPPoE, entered supplied ID and PWD, selected vlan tagging and entered 10. Then I changed MTU for the PPoE interface from 1500 to 1492 in the GUI. Then I set the MSS Clamping to 1452. It then shows 'connected' on the PPPoE interface, but won't get an IP address.
I feel I'm missing something obvious, but can't see what it is. I guess I can try again tonight and if no joy then try to source another router to test.
There isn't a bug fix in a later ERL firmware that I need is there?
Anyway, after a very long time waiting, we're finally on UFB! I'm going to spread those lovely Mbps all over the bed, get nude and roll in them.
Hey @michaelmurphy
I've come back from a few days off and my unifi AP's are acting weird - it might be a failed update.
They are on the unifi controller (but disconnected at the moment as they are continuously throwing this error
/usr/sbin/hostapd exited with code 256 and restarted by inittab unifi
and causing network speed issues.
Are you able to help me reflash them?
Also - how do I use the @symbol properly :(

Fixed it - in the controller the network settings had been setup weird - like it was using a usg to manage dhcp, which I don't have.
Anyway, all good now :)

Spell his name correctly - "michaelmurfy" :-)
Good you have your connection working.
@CokemonZ You're best to use the thread: https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=66&topicid=204413
But sorry about this. There was a software update to a new major release that broke a few sites. I missed correcting yours.

Just replaced the beloved ER-X with a new ER-4 after I got my fibre connection. Getting speeds of about 880Mb/s download with hardware offloading enabled, and about 800Mb/s with it disabled. ISP is Voyager.
Does this sound normal? As I see others here with screenshots of 900+ in their profiles. Don't get me wrong, this speed is great, just worried I may have configured something wrong.

880Mbit is totally normal - Gigabit UFB is anywhere from 800-920Mbit. This depends on time of the day, server you're testing to, operating system you're running etc.

Currently having a play with an ER-4
TIA :)
