I have a 4-port wifi router (about 1 year old), and one of the ports has suddenly stopped working.

Connected to that port was a wifi repeater/AP that has two operating lights, viz. LAN and WIFI ... after the wifi stopped working on a computer I observed that the LAN light had gone out.  Swapped out ethernet cables 3 times, no joy.  Then tried another port and it works fine again, ergo dead port?

Can ports suddenly stop working?

Reset doesn't fix ... one year old, and Netgear has Lifetime Warranty, so off to retailer this afternoon armed with purchase receipt smile
