Hi

I have a Lenovo windows 10 PC that I put into hibernation, but I can't wake it up remotely, using RDP.

I have turned on Wakeup on LAN in the bios and the settings are turned on including magic packet in the card properties.

I don't want to have to use third party software because of the security risk.

Is there a way to do it. Or even via the router. We are using a Fritz box.

Thanks

Yes, Do it all the time with my fritz.

Login, go local network. Edit the device like you were adding a pinhoile and theres a 'start computer' button.

Hi

No that didn't actually work

I logged in remotely to another machine that is turned on fully and I logged into the router and I can see the PC is in the Idle section

The Wakeup on lan is still ticked and I again clicked - start computer-  but nothing happens.

The internet use and access profile are on unrestricted.

Any other ideas, thanks

The model of Fritz is 7490

Guessing its not on the same physical lan?

You can't tend to do it to PCs that are hanging off wireless

Dunno, works for me. So either need to tweak the power settings on device more or use a tool from the likes of nirsoft.

It doesn't do anything dodgy other than send a ping packet with the wake header.
