Where can you buy fibre cables and SFPs (10Gbit) in Auckland?

Russells said it would take a couple weeks to get orders and the prices were quite high.

SFP's aren't something an electrical wholesaler would normally carry - that's the sort of thing you'd get from an IT distributor. For 10GB it really depends of you're needing something that's Cisco/Juniper compatible but Snappernet do carry a good range and would have them in stock.

Any good electrical/data wholesaler should carry fibre cables and have them in stock. PB Tech also stock a good selection in store. If you want to order online cablesdirect are a good option.

10GB SFPs depending on if you want SX or LX can vary greatly in price. Picked up a Cisco Certificated 10k 10G LX SFP for $3.5k which I thought was extortionate.

I have several very large partners/customers who use them. Nothing but positive feedback.

I know a few companies that use fs.com. They are cheap enough that they just buy a couple and if one fails its still cheaper than one branded one.

I second this, orders take 1-2 weeks to arrive, quality is excellent.
