Interesting situation with my Huawei HG659, when loading Minecraft PE (v1.2.8) on an iOS device while connected to the wireless AP the load stalls with a white screen...

Loads fine when tethered to my iphone, in airplane mode and connected to another router. Same issue can be replicated on another ipad (both running 11.2.2).

So that says to me, that maybe an outbound connection is being blocked by the router (or Bigpipe - which I doubt)?

Any thoughts welcome.

Jon

Router logs are interesting, maybe it is a DNS issue at Bigpipe:

2018-01-16 14:57:51 System Notice DNS query failed: Name: iPad.home, Type: 28, Error: time out
2018-01-16 14:57:51 System Notice DNS query failed: Name: iPad.home, Type: 1, Error: time out

Just changed DNS to Googles public service (8.8.8.8) and it started working... Have raised a call with Bigpipe to resolve...

The error reads as it can't look up the name "iPad.home" which isn't overly surprising for obvious reasons. The router acts as the DNS server for your home network and only forwards requests to the Bigpipe DNS when required. For your internal devices to be able to resolve "iPad.home" you would need a custom DNS entry on the router.
