Hi All,

Just had fibre installed and am connecting up my phone line from the ONT to my structured cabling solution which uses the Dynamix Bridged Telecom Module (HBG-1008) and have no dial tone. It was working fine with my old copper line that came via cat6 and master splitter at the ETP.

I have chopped the end off the cable (rj11->rj11 6 core) the chorus left me to punch down and have followed the guide http://www.notjustcables.co.nz/pdfs/hbg1008.pdf and still no luck. I have also read this post too https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=39&topicid=208637 which is similar in topic.

I have checked that I am plugged in to the POTS1 port on the ONT and also plugged phone directly in to this and the line is correct/working.

I have attached the image below for a second set of eyes to check I have it correct and will double check my punch downs.

Appreciate your guidance.

Just FYI, it's a bridged module - Pair 1 in slot 1 is identical to Pair 1 in slot 2, etc.

So instead of terminating it roughly, the quick and dirty method is plug in an RJ11 cable between the ONT/Modem and Slot 1 on the module, then use slots 2 and onwards for your house wiring. Might be a tad easier/quicker, and 100% reliable if you don't have the right tools to hand.

Anything I say is the ramblings of an ill informed, opinionated so-and-so, and not representative of any of my past, present or future employers, and is also probably best disregarded.
