Hello, we have a Fortigate 60E firewall connected to a Vodafone HG659 modem which then connects to a 1Gbp UFB connection.

Has anyone else noticed poor throughput with a configuration like this ?

I am thinking it is due to the Vodafone HG659 not being able to handle all the sessions coming in from the Fortigate ?

I am wondering how many simultaneous sessions a modem like this should be able to handle.

I had a quick search for the specs of the FortiGate 60E.

What happens when you take out the FortiGate and just use the HG659?

Why are you using the HG659b in this setup at all?

surely you can terminate vlan 10 on the Fortigate and take that out of the question?

I have currently using the standard supplied Vodafone modem for VDSL.

I want to get a better one that will also can be used for fiber when I get it in my area.

What is a better modem out there worth getting?
