I have just switched to a 1000/500 MyRepublic plan.  I deleted the pppoe connection as MyRepublic does not need it and reran the WAN+2LAN2 wizard and this got me connect to MyRepublic.  However the down speed is poor, 30Meg, the up speed seems okay >270meg.  I suspect its to do with offloading, but I can't find any instructions if you don't have a pppoe setup.

Does anyone know the CLI commands to enable offlaoding for a non pppoe setup.

currently show ubnt offload returns

IPSec offload module: not loaded

HWNAT offload module: loaded

Traffic Analysis :

export : disabled

dpi : disabled

version : 1.354

Thanks

Nic.

I doubt that it would be the offloading since your speed is only 30meg. The Edgerouter can still do over 100meg with offloading disabled on PPPOE.

Run a speed test and check the Edgerouter processor load. Does it go to 100%?

Far more likely to be a profile configuration error by MR or the LFC. Similar problem happened to me once. I ended up with 100/200mbit

thanks CPU didn't move, sat at 1%

So you suspect a MyRepublic issue? or LFC (Local Fibre Circuit, is what I assume LFC stands for???)

LFC means local fibre company. Chorus, Enable, Northpower fibre etc.

Your download speed is probably capped at 30mbit. Clue being that there are plans available with 30mbit down. And yes you can end up with odd combinations of down / up speeds.

Thanks Micheal, this prompted to remember a post I made in that thread sometime agao...

Might have found the answer with bit more googling....

######

Only offload hwnat (since 1.8.5) and offload ipsec (since 1.9.0) are available for ER-X. Other offloads only apply to ER series.

then

Note that enabling hwnat offload on the ER-X platform also includes offload for NAT, forwarding, PPPoE, VLAN, etc.

so

configure

set system offload hwnat enable

commit

save

exit

that worked, again, given I don't have a 1gb Internet connection, a mute point :-)

######

That would imply you only need the above command.....

I will check with MR tomorrow and try a reset/reconfig....
