Ok what am I doing wrong here? I'm sure it's blatantly obvious to somebody more skilled than I. I tried putting in the 2degrees IPv4 DNS but that didn't help. I deselected the IPv6, didn't help. The connection via the Fritzbox is perfectly fine but I can't figure out this GWN7000.

Well - it highly depends in what environmental situation the router finds itself and what your intentions are (beside a very global wish to get internet to work).

If the router is missing, for instance a modem or an other of his potential buddies, it won't do anything for you to improve that situation ...

... (which BTW possibly applies to humans who are missing basic information).

Perhaps I'm entirely misguided. I thought I could replace the fritzbox with the gwn7000 and a couple of gwn7610 APs to provide the WiFi.

I have a GWN7000 working on Spark fibre and my Port page looks a little different to yours in that mine has a Name (what you have called the connection) dialogue box directly under Enabled.

Have you updated to latest firmware?

Your screenshot shows Native ipv6 ticked - deselect this. Don't bother with DNS fields, just leave them blank.

From snap/2degrees website:

If you have a Fibre connection, use these settings:
- Username: Your username@snap.net.nz
- Password: The password you chose at sign up.
- Encapsulation: PPPoE
- VLAN ID: 10

Broadband Services Password
This password is used by your modem in conjunction with your username to get you connected to the internet.
This will be the password you chose at signup, unless you have requested for this to be changed (or 2degrees have changed it on your behalf).
If you have a 2degrees modem, your password will already be entered in your modem settings. If you have chosen to bring your own modem, you will need to enter your username, Broadband Services Password, and some other settings to get connected to the internet.

From Spark website in case it is useful:

Use your modem's user guide to find where to change your modem's settings. Adjust the settings to match the following:

Operating mode: MDI/MDIX
PPP protocol: PPPoE
PPP username: user@spark.co.nz
PPP password: password
PPP auth type: PAP
PPP mode: Always on (dial on demand disabled)
Encapsulation: 802.1Q
PCP marking: 0
VID (or VLAN): 10
MTU: Auto or 1500

Note: You may not need to fill out all these fields.

When it is all going you will be able to enjoy a great Router / AP combination.

BTW, you may need to change the Firmware Server address to: firmware.grandstream.com and the Config Server is : fm.grandstream.com/gs

These are found under System Settings, Maintenance, Upgrade.

Also when buying the 7610 remember to buy a power supply for it.

So I did in fact mage to find the problem last night, it was the password, I had that wrong. So I managed to update to the latest firmware.

IPv6 is working on the fritzbox, I don't really understand exactly what the advantage of using it is, but it doesn't seem to work via the grandstream. Ticking the native IPv6 box doesn't seem to work, I'm guessing there is some settings somewhere else I need to change.

I've done it, it is easy however don't have a GWN7000 to really show this. Keep trying, you'll get it!

DHCPv6 is what 2degrees use.

You have more faith in my ability than i do! Haha. I think I'll get the APs up and running and when I have time I'll see if I can figure out the IPv6 working.
