Hi guys

I am just wondering, which wireless modem (4 port + wireless) can do a specific time shut down?

like, i want the modem to be off between 2am each day till 6am, i am just wondering, which modem will do this function???

oh yea, 2nd question for those DSL-G604T users, you know on the controller panel, at home -- Wan, then on the connection setting, connection on demand? what is that? is it allow us to be turning off the modem if there is no activity going?

by how to the modem turn itself back on?

I belive the Draytek's are able to do this, but I'll have to check my modem at home.

A cheap and dirty solution maybe a timer from The Warehouse - you can't access a wireless access point if it's physically turned off.

Not sure how viable this may be for you but another option would be to create a firewall rule which blocks EVERYTHING IN and OUT, but schedule it to only come into force at certain times. A lot of routers that are on the higher end of the market have the ability to do this.
