This is why tuya are going towards bluetooth pairing process.

The smart socket probably has an alternate pairing method where you hold the button down for ages and it will fire up its own access point to connect to in order to do the config. Do that and you should be good.

On android wait on the wifi settings screen where you choose the access point till the phone says that it has no internet and choose stay connected or it will flick back to the previous network without telling you.
