Hello from Bay of Islands,

I have just installed an Ericsson W35 fixed wireless terminal on our yacht - to support Telecom wireless broad as we cruise around New Zealand (similarly we'll use cruising Australia on Telstra 3G).

We have built-in LMR400 lowloss cable leading from the Ericsson W35 area outside the yacht to connect to our external antenna (an RFI CD2195 in this case). My problem is that our installed internal LMR400 is N-female.

I have a pigtail supplied with the Ericsson that is MCX-male plug to N-female. So I could kludge the connection with an N-male to N-male barrel connector

What I think what I really need is new, longer pigtail to connect the W35 to our LMR400 directly: an MCX-male right angle plug to N-male plug about 2 meters length.

Who in NZ can supply the pigtail I need? If not the pigtail, how about an N-male to N-male barrel connector. Or an an N-male to N-male 2 meter RG58 type patch cable. Or suggest a smarter way to do this?

Thanks in advance,

Steve Darden

It might be worth giving Pacific Aerials a call. I've dealt with them a few times in the past and had good service. They stock a huge range of aerials and accessories.

Thank you. Pacific Aerials looks like a super source. I'll ring them in the AM.
