Hi Everyone,

Here is what I have, HTC Harrier, Activesync 3.8 and Bluetake BT007si Bluetooth USB adapter.

In looking at the connection settings, I do not have an option to set up serial ports, there is one showing, comm3, it is greyed out, there are no other comm ports in pull down menu.

How do I get serial port options, I need serial ports to map to Bluetooth serial ports.

Any suggestions, do I need to delete partnership and start over.

Also, I have followed the instructions for Ethernet Activesync with no success, I am using Socket SD Ethernet adapter, any suggestions..

I would appreciate any assistance.

Thank You

Dave

When you say you only have COM3, is this on ActiveSync? If yes, then you have to setup the COM ports using the Bluetooth configuration on your PC first.

Look in our Bluetooth Guides. You should use one of the guides for Windows Mobile 2003, and which one will depend if you have Windows XP SP2 or Widcomm software installed.

After you create a port (Incoming or Server depending on software) then you use it on ActiveSync.

Thak You for your reply, the comm3 is greyed out, no available, I do not have any serial ports available on activesync.

Does this change your answer?

Please confirm,

Dave

No, it doesn't change my answer. When you create COM ports on Bluetooth these are in addition to any already in the system. So you should create new COM ports through the Bluetooth configuration and only after this ActiveSync will see some ports available.
