Dear friends

I've tryed to fix the SP2 problem following the instructions posted here in the forum but I didn't succeed. Everything was fine untill last step, where I had to double click on the My Bluetooh Places icon to install the second portion of the software. I received this message: "Bluetooth device not found". Can anyone help me please? I have a BT3030 and trying to install widcomm driver (1.4.2.10 sp4).

As I could read, some of you are using widcomm drivers under SP2 with no problem, so I believe I can do that too. I appreciate any help.

TIA

P.S.: I also read the topic "Read this if you have Bluetooth problems on Windows XP Service Pack 2" posted by freitasm, followed the instructions at the Microsoft site but it didn't work. I still receive the message: Bluetooth device not found.

Welcome to Geekzone...

Is this software you are trying to install the one that came with the Bluetooth adapter? If not, what software did come with this adapter?

Does the adapter work with the Windows XP SP2 Bluetooth software? If yes, why change?

Dear freitasm

Yes, this software came with my bluetooth device. It worked fine with Windows XP Pro and when I started to use SP2 it didn't work anymore.

My bluetooth device doesn't work with the Windows XP Pro SP2 software. If it was working, certainly I wouldn't change. I just need to continue using my palm and my mobile with bluetooth as I used before.

I've read many posts here and if I'm not wrong, you said that you're using your bluetooth device with the widcomm software. I couldn't find a post where you explain how to do that and help many people that are experiencing the same problem. Can't you help us?

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for answering me.

Ola,

If you send me your email address in private, I will send you a document what we use in the office to fix this widcomm problem.

Cheers.
