I have purchased DBT-122 Dlink Bluetooth (qnty-2) and I have installed one on my Desktop which is connected to optus DSL connection, and the other one I have installed on Toshiba Laptop. I want to access the internet and files from desktop to laptop using bluetooth, for which I did the pairing of the systems, but finding trouble in accessing the internet on laptop, neither I can access the files from the desktop, but still the BLUE TOOTH ICONS on the tray show as green color as they are connected,

I went through this article on the web but still no luck .

as my both the desktop and laptop are with XP ( professional ) OS

I can see the compurtname on the "My Bluetooth Places" on both systems

It looks like there is some problem in the IP config which I could not figure out as my options in the "Local Area Connection - properties - internet protocal tcpip - properties" its defaulted to "optain an ip address automatically" IF I change the IP config with respect to the above article then I am not able to access the internet on my local desktop which is connected to OPTUS ADSL,

Help Please.

Welcome to Geekzone... First of all, are you using thesoftware that came with this Bluetooth adapter, or the Microsoft Bluetooth software with Windows XP SP2?

I am using the Software which came with this adaptor,

And even I have sent a mail to Dlink australia for help and they have replied with this statement

"I have confirmed that they should work, however once paired the rest of the setup is dependant on the operating system which is being used. I suggest you call your OS provider for help on setup with this option, you will need to setup the paired devices in the same workgroup and then enable the ICS, this will have to be done of the OS, please call Microsoft on 13 20 58 for more help with this config."
