Mauricio,

I think this has to be with my other posting.
Now... where can I get the lastest drivers?

Are there any "general standard" drivers for bluetooth dongles, or I have to go to the manufacturer?. I am asking this cos the one in my pc is from a company that does not have drivers posted (Pheecom Technology Corp).

When I 1st installed the software that came with my dongle, it installed the following:

Widcomm Bluetooth Software 1.2.2.9

This might give you a hint on where should I look up for recent drivers.

Thanks for your help with this.

Good question. You should always get the drivers from the manufacturer. That's because Widcomm drivers are licensed to each hardware device with a serial number rane in some configuration files. Some people have been succesful in using one company's drivers with another's hardware, by manually changing some configuration files before installation.

Widcomm 1.2 is quite old really, and won't support lots of things, including PAN, headset and probably it's very faulty.

There is no guarantee this works, and it may actually cause problems for the whole system, as a new incompatible driver is installed. We don't have the instructions here and you should search for them using your favourite search engine...
