Hello Everyone,

I like to thank all of you for this wonderful forum.  I have a Nokia 6230 phone and Hawking USB Bluetooth adapter (H-BT10U).  I installed the application that came with the USB adapter.  I am able to connect my cell phone with the USB bluetooth device.  I can access all folders in the phone.  Now the problem comes when I try to use Nokia PC Suite v.6.7 to install applications.  It shows that 'No phones detected'.  I read some websites and found info. dealing with mrouter.  I am unable to find this program on my taskbar.  I also checked under startup application and it is not there.  I guess i am supposed to use connection manager.  But, when i select bluetooth and search for device, nothing comes up.  I also checked serial connection and could not connect to my device.  I downloaded mrouter3 program from web and tried it that way. But, it doesnt give me the option to select the desired COM port.  Another question I have is that when I explore My Bluetooth places, I see serial logo which says Nokia 6230 Nokia PC suite as 'not connected'. When I right click on it and select connect option.  It shows that it is connected.  But even then I am unable to find the device from Nokia PC suite.  Also, I have found Widcomm driver and it seems to be working fine.
I have spent many hours on this and still could not get it working.  Does anyone have any idea what I should be doing?

Thanks again,

One more thing i read, is that sometimes Modem takes up COM port3 and that is why it does not work with Nokia PC suite. I have tried that and when I do that and go to connection manager and select serial connection, it tells me no COMport found. But when I have modem connected, it shows the same COM port as the one used by modem. Any idea why that is happening? Also, I unistalled the third part mrouter3 program. And after many restarts, still do not see the mrouter program that comes with Nokia PC suite.

Ok...I have found the solution.  There were several problems to start with and it seemed like everytime I found a solution another problem evolved.  My first problem was I was using Widcomm 1.2.8 driver that came with the CD.  Inorder for Nokia PC suite to work, I needed Widcomm 1.4 drivers.  So i got the updated driver from Hawking website.  After removing the old driver, the program and couple of restart, I installed the newer program.  When I tried to run the program I got 'License.dat' file not found error.  I started looking for the error and found couple of solutions from jonsguide, gsmforums, and this site.  I found this patch that after applying fixed that problem and I was able to connect my cell phone with nokia pc suite.  It is awesome! I am loving it.

Take care and good luck...

Hi maybe your can any one help me as your problem sounded much like the frustration of what I am experiencing just not.  I have recently got new cdma phone N6255 and have been trying to hook up with this nifty pc suite software that comes with it.  I bought dku-2 cable from ebay and have had no luck in getting the software to reconize the phone.  I downloaded driver from Nokia and it seems that the pc can see it (though I cannot access any part of it) but the software in manage connections does not give me a usb option for connecting only serial - I chose a new comm port that seems to have arrived since I loaded cable driver (comm 4) but still the software does not see my phone.  Can anyone help - I would love to load some of my songs onto this phone - I seem so close yet so far away  -  Any help would be gratefully recieved.Kiss

This question should really be another topic - it's not related to the previous post and it's not related to the Bluetooth forum.
