I am pretty new to bluetooth, but have been monitoring this forum to get some tips. So far it has been very useful .
Basically what I would like to do is to use my mobile as a 'handset' for VoIP calls. In my mind this means my mobile effectively becoming the speakers and mic to my broadbanded notebook. Note that I do not have a separate BT headset, but I suppose that I want to use my T610 for this purpose.
My setup is as follows: -
XP Pro (SP1) Notebook
Vaio BT Dongle (CSR firmware 355 I think)
The widcomm stack installed without issue, recognises my dongle and appears to be working. Pairing of devices works in both directions without issue.
However when I initiate the audio gateway on the notebook, a connection is made to the phone, which then displays 'after the tone say the voice command' > 'no match' > BT connection dropped.
I'm not sure if this is the right way round but wanted to try it anyway. I was wondering if anyone has tried this or similar and can suggest a few tips/tests to try out mainly for VoIP but eventually more advanced notebook remote control.
Thanks in advance.
