Hi all

My dad brought this wireless router for the broadband but we have yet to pick up any signals from my laptop though the last time I tried to get the PC to reconise it we were out of internet for a while due to the settings were mixed up

anyway the model is a D-Link DI 524 looks exactly like the boardband modem telecom gives.

any help would be greaty apreciated

I assume it came with a starting guide, or something similar? This is a good point document to start reading. In general you just have to plug the router, and it should by default be ready to use - your laptop would just need to have the wireless LAN adapter on to find the access point and connect.

You should then proceed connecting to its administration centre and configuring it for security, multiple computers, etc.

But, reading the documentation accompanying the router should be where everything starts.
