Hi everybody,
any suggestion on how to make a Cable modem talk to my Airport express?
It was all working fine until a few days ago when it all went dead.
I can connect the Macbook to internet if I plug in the ethernet cable but when I try to connect through the airport it doesn't work.
Telstra Clear says they don't support home networks (this must be new, I've been using the airport express for years with no problems until now!!!) so I can't get help from them.
I thought maybe the shaking in Christchurch had damaged it, so I had the Airport express checked by the Apple service centre but they said it works fine.
I set up the ethernet connection with the settings given me by Telstra Clear (IPV4 manually, IPV6 automatically, no proxies).
Thanks  heaps for your help!

Can you connect to the network with the MacBook? or are you connected and can't get google up in your browser

If the airport express has an error when you load the utility you should be able to click the yellow circle and it will tell you what the issues are.

There is likely to be a manual setting that you are missing in the internet tab of the airport utility.

Make sure you have done all your updates as well. The latest firmware is much better (5.4.2 ? I think)

I assume you've power cycled the cable modem as you try and switch between the router and your PC? This is required since the modem will only let you bridge one MAC address behind it.
