Hey Cyril,

I seem to have an issue with my ST2206 at the moment. If the jumper cable used to terminate the isolate port has an issue would this cause the dsl, phone ports to stop working?

Currently I am only able to run one phone or the modem out of the isolate port as the other ports are dead/no dial tone when the jumper cable is in the isolate port.

Hi The isolate plug connects pairs 1/2 to 4/5 if that fails then no service will get to any other socket other than the test isolate port. Is this a new panel or been in use for a while.

Hi, I would find it odd that a previously working jumper is now not, I suggest its most likely not the jumper but the orange filter input is not properly punched down, if that is not done then you get the same result, ie no DSL or phone ports active.

The insulation on the filters is significantly heaver than cat5e, therefore you need to ensure the punch down happens properly, it is a very common issue that the filter wires are not successfully punched down.

I'll take it out of the enclosure and ensure it is till connected to the back of the unit properly. I have it mounted in a ST2000 enclosure. I have repunched the filter wires - had issues with this the first time.

Hi you should not have to remove it from the cabinet, unless there is a suspect PCB issue, which I doubt, as I say most likely poor IDC punch down ensure you use an 110 tool not a Krone, you might be well advised to pull the wires and totally redo the IDC.

You should be able to visually confirm that the wire has gone all the way in.

Cheers guys, have re punched the phone line from filter to 2206 and really emphasized the push down and now have it all back up and running.

I really thought it weird that after months of working it would give up like that.
