I am having intermitant issues with the wireless connection on one of my clients DSL G604t wireless routers.

Main problem is intermittantly the connection from 1 -2 laptops drops and wont reconnect with out restart of laptop or restart of router.

The funny thing is i worked on tested it all last night, not a prob, restarted both laptops multiple times and everytime connect aok.

However the client this morning has had issues all day.

I have replaced the router, reset the settings, changed the WIFI channel and still we have these issues, mainly during the day.

I am thinking radio interferrence but it could be the Dlink routers are the prob.

I have done 60 of these setups before with no hassels??

Any ideas? Smile

If this happens only during working hours I'd search for interferences - laser printers, microwave ovens, cell sites, 2.4GHz cordless phones around the office, all this sorts of things.

I had that problem, took me ages to suss it out :-)

On your laptops, don't use the router for DNS, feed in the IPs of the internet providers DNS servers (the ones that get given to the router), seems the D-links completely loose the plot when they have to service/relay lots of DNS requests from a WiFi device (*cough* bitorrent *cough* E-mule *cough*)  Innocent

Regards

Mark

painful this is, this is only basic email and net access.

Looks like we are going to put a wired network in to solve the issue, i really wanted wireless but either interference or other issues are effecting the service.
