I have a Dell Inspiron 510m, XP SP2 with a TrueMobile 300 Internal Card.

I recently reinstalled XP and am having problems installing the bluetooth software. I tried from the resource CD and it extracts the drivers but doesnt complete the install.

It gives me an error:

"Bluetooth radio is turned off. Press  Fn+F2 to turn it on. Then click OK to continue installation." and If I press cancel it says "Bluetooth device not detected".

I have tried everything possible with Fn key. But no luck.

When I restart the system, the "new hardware found" wizard tries to install the drivers but it gives me an error and device manager shows "USB device" with a question mark.

When I go to device manager and reinstall the device, it installs "Dell TrueMobile Bluetooth Module in Firmware Upgrade" and I can see it under "Bluetooth Devices" in the device manager. But Bluetooth doesnt work.

I tried installing the drivers from the Dell support page but the installation stops at the "Bluetooth radio is turned off" error.

During the installation, at the point when it says Bluetooth Not Detected, press the Function key that turn Bluetooth on. It should then start using the hardware.

The Fn+F2 enables wireless on my computer. It has nothing to do with bluetooth. I tried as u said, but all it does is toggle my wireless connection.

On device manager, under "Bluetooth devices", the hardware says its installed and working  but the program is no where to be seen. Its not in the Dell software list in "Program files", no taskbar icon, nothing.

In control panel, i checked "Bluetooth devices" and on the hardware tab theres nothing as well.
