I am looking for some sort of steering wheel controls so I can easily change music on my WP7 device.
My car is older so doesn't have any controls built in, but I see you can buy after market items that clip on.

I connect my phone to the stereo via the tape player, i'm looking for something that connects to my phone via bluetooth so i can pause/play/skip tracks. Does anyone know of anything out their that would do this?

A tape player :-) maybe time for an upgrade which should widen your options:

Not sure about controllers directly for WP but have you thought of using a head unit that can pair with the phone that has its own steering wheel controller? Would give a better integrated solution for probably similar prices than just a controller (guessing they not common and pricey)

Here is a good overview http://blogs.msdn.com/b/andypennell/archive/2011/09/27/car-head-unit-compatibility-with-windows-phone-7-5-mango.aspx
