Due to my hate-rid of Orange LEDs in my car I have decided to replace them with Red ones.. I have done a few of the switches and heater controls but getting to the instrument cluster Im not so confident..

So can anyone recommend someone with experience soldering and desoldering SMD components? (1206, PLCC2/4)
Id rather get a pro to do it!

Local (Dunedin) would be ideal but I can courier to any location, I already have the new LEDs and would obviously pay for the work..

Depends on your car but wouldn't surprise me if you've got removable "wedge' LED's on the back of in your instrument cluster.

Nah they are all smd on current and recent dashboards. And one car I test drove used pwm to dim them so it was horrible. Like staring at crappy pwm taillights all the time you are driving.

Will you open the cluster and remove the circuit board, ready for soldering? Then I could be interested. I've started soldering almost 30 years ago, got all the tools at work.  Send me a PM if you want to chat further, lately I'm not on GZ much.
