Do you get different offers etc if your Chromecast was bought in the UK v the US?

This is from Google's website
If you purchased your Chromecast from Google Play or an authorized Chromecast retailer and are in need of a replacement, please contact us for assistance.

Please note:

  • We can only replace your defective Chromecast with a replacement Chromecast that is authorized for sale/use in the same country where you originally purchased your Chromecast and the replacement Chromecast must be shipped to an address in that same country.
  • For example, if you purchased your Chromecast in the United States, we can only replace your device with one authorized for sale/use in the United States, and we can only ship that replacement to an address in the United States.

I know the UK one also only outputs 60hz so can't see any reason to get one. Apps seem to not care. Us Netflix plays on a friend's UK one.
